Purple Hair, Don’t Care: Curvy Girl Street Style Fall 2020
I’ve always been a firm believer in the fact that your hair and makeup can make or break your outfit. And the proof is clearly in the pudding chile. Given my current obsession with street style (click here for my first style post on styling streetwear as a plus size woman), I decided that I wanted to do a streetwear look but with something a little more out of my comfort zone. As a result, I ended up with the purplest of purple wigs, and hunny as you can see, it was a SERVE. I am absolutely obsessed with this hair and this overall look was a success. The full outfit and beauty details will be listed below.
This won’t be one of my long winded posts because I feel like the look speaks for itself, BUT I have to do a special shoutout to the amazing black women who helped pull this look together. There is legitimately nothing black women can’t do, I am truly in awe. I did this shoot for the blog (which was created by a black woman, Sharine) and 90% of my prep allowed me to support black women’s businesses.
Photographer, hairstylist, nail tech, MUA, shirt, and sunglasses? All from amazing black women and their businesses. Who is really hustling harder than black women right now? NO ONE. The customer service from each business was truly A1 - timely, professional, and value for the money spent. I will continue to support them for sure. I will have all their information tagged below, so make sure you check them out!
I really hope you enjoyed this fall look. Stay tuned as many more looks to come. If you enjoyed this article and/or have any style tips of your own, leave a comment down below!
