When my good friend DJ Smartiez came to me with the amazing idea of collaborating on a mix with all female rappers, I was beyond excited. Anyone that knows me personally knows that I am a big fan of female rap, especially right now where there are so many new female rappers that are killing the game. The female empowerment and sisterhood that has been displayed has been refreshing to witness and I cannot wait to see what is in store for the future. Some of my favourites of the newer girlies include Megan Thee Stallion (duh), City Girls, Kash Doll, Dreezy, Flo Milli, Saweetie, CupcakKe, Renni Rucci, Mulatto, and Rico Nasty (all included in this awesome mix).

Now let’s talk about this mix. This Mix is EPIC af! Like Smartiez truly snapped on this. The intro. The songs. The transitions. The artwork. I’m speechless. If you are looking for that mix that is going to make you feel like the ultimate baddie, THIS IS IT. You can workout to this, play it while you’re getting ready, blast it in the car, play it at girl’s night, the list goes on. It’s very much giving versatility, empowerment, and boss b*tch vibes. Music has had a large impact on my journey to be becoming a confident woman and truly loving every bit of myself. The Tina Snow mixtape by Megan Thee Stallion is one of my favourite projects of all time. It came out at a time where I was feeling extremely low about myself and my appearance. That mix-tape was what truly gave me the kick in the ass that I needed to realize that I am that girl and no one can take that away from me. The way Megan exuded so much confidence and self assurance truly inspired and influenced me to do the same, because why the hell not? People are always gonna have something to say about you, but who cares? There is only one you and there is so much power in that, especially once you realize it. BE YOU. Always. Do what makes you happy. Be the type of person you would want to meet. Live apologetically.
